Motorcyclist Killed in Crash on Veterans Memorial Highway in Mableton, GA

Mableton, Georgia (June 30, 2026) – Authorities are investigating a fatal motorcycle crash that claimed the life of one person Wednesday evening in Mableton.
According to the Cobb County Police Department, the collision occurred just after 6:30 p.m. in the 1000 block of Veterans Memorial Highway. Investigators said a westbound 2019 collided with a 2018 car after the SUV entered the roadway from a nearby parking lot while attempting to make a left turn onto Veterans Memorial Highway.
Police said the motorcyclist struck the driver’s side of the SUV and was ejected from the motorcycle, landing in the westbound lanes of the highway. The rider was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Kia sustained minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
The Cobb County Police Department’s Selective Traffic Enforcement Program (STEP) Unit is continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the fatal collision.
